openSUSE, I want… or Change this…
Well if you want your voice to be heard and believe that openSUSE would be so much cooler if only they would add or change something, now is your chance. There is an ideas page for openSUSE 11.1. There are already several ideas up there and I’m sure they are looking for some refinement and new ideas there.
This is the perfect time to do it as they are gearing up for openSUSE 11.1 alphas.
openSUSE 11.1 Gnome ideas (These are for the Gnome desktop)
Hi, in openSUSE 11.1 I would like to see better and easier set up of samba, especially for beginner’s or general users. It would be best if it will set up local network automatically (something like in Ubuntu, where I can’t set up anything but after all I see windows PC’s in local network). Thanx OpenSUSE team 🙂
where is the kde idea?
we can’t forget than majority of opensuse user use kde… like every survey than novell do…
I’m not sure on the kde ideas or even just opensuse ideas, I’d check on the mailing list or opensuse-kde channel. If not, there should be one. Maybe I’ll ask.
What about general ideas for 11.1? Why are openSUSE GNOME users so weird.
a brainstorm.
I want auoutomount NTFS partitions added in system after installation. With all rights for users group of course….
I would like to see kernel compiled with iotop support.
This will also require to add iotop package into repositories.
(I must say, I don’t know the status in 11, but 10.3 can’t use iotop. Fedora does.)
Thanks
